PRESS RELEASE:
TETRALOGY-WORD UP!
The first issue, entitled SPACE, features stunning work from photographer Jason Tozer and graphic designer Abi Hunyh, with special features on each contributor on the Tetralogy website, www.tetralogy.weebly.com
With the release date set to be Saturday 29th of May, the new zine will be sold at the London Zine Symposium (www.londonzinesymposium.org.uk) alongside other well established zines such as FeverZine. As an added extra to the first issue, which will be retailed at a well-worth-it price of £3, the first 5 people to buy the Zine at the Symposium will receive a freebie Tetralogy stencilled canvas bag to collect anything inspirational. These bags will also be available to purchase online at a later date in varying designs.
There are big plans for this little creative zine, with the subsequent issues planned to be sold later this year at Brighton Zine Fest. To complete the quarterly collection, the full year series is set to be taken to the San Francisco Zine Fest next year, so make sure you snap one up quick and start collecting!
ABOUT TETRALOGY:
TETRALOGY n. a series of four.
Tetralogy Zine is a quarterly independent arts Zine, taking an innovative approach to words through creative visuals. Exploring one word per issue, we break it down using graphics, photography, type and more...
SO, WHY DID WE PICK THE WORD SPACE?
International branding company Wolff Olins ensures us that one of the top 10 impacts for 2010 will be us experiencing outer space. Google has given us Google Earth and Microsoft go one further by offering us the Worldwide telescope allowing us to view outer space up close and personal. Said to be awe inspiring and mind stretching, Space is one hot topic. Think of all its other meanings too, headspace, negative space, we'll have loads of interesting creative visual takes in our first issue as we go and explore SPACE.

###
We plan to take our zine ,‘Tetralogy’ to London Zine Symposium on the 29th of May 2010. There, we plan to start our promotional campaign by handing out business cards* which will have the name of our zine, the website address and our twitter page. The zines themselves will be sold here for £3.
As well as the zines, we also will be selling canvas tote bags with the logo on them. On the inner of the bag, our web address and contact details will be sewn in. These will also be available to purchase online.**
Beyond the initial launch, the zines will be sold at Lik + Neon on Brick Lane in London, a creative store which currently sell a selection of fanzines. A location such as this would attract the right target consumer which would help promote both the zine and website.
We also plan to promote our zine by creating paper models of aliens, which will be placed around Nottingham Trent University and selected locations in the city. Tetralogy’s details will be printed clearly onto these promotional items to encourage people to have a look on the website or interact with us on twitter.
For the next issues we plan to spread these promotional items beyond Nottingham Trent University and the city to other locations such as Brighton, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds and London.
As the zine is a quarterly publication, we plan to take it to other symposiums and zine fests such as that in Brighton and San Francisco.
**clearly too little time for this or is it hypothetical?
Hi Abi,
We are two students studying at Nottingham Trent University in the UK. We are currently producing a creative zine and we would love to feature your work.
Our zine is conceptually based around the word 'space' and we would like to show your 'pie plan' as a way to show how interior space can be utilized.
We will credit your work with your name and contact details in both the zine and on the website which we are creating at the moment.
If you would like to have a look at what we are doing, you can view our facebook page here.
Many thanks
Mily Williamson and Joanna Thompson
Hi Joanna/Mily,
Nice to hear from you.
Sure you can use the "pie plan" illustration, I have attached a PDF so you can reproduce it at any size you like.
Thanks for your interest.

All creative people should be required to leave California for three months every year.
As one went to Europe to see the living past, so one must visit Southern California to observe the future.
ha i KNOW this is incredible annoying of me...pretty much putting the same thing as you've already put up, but im not very good at looking at colours unless they're kind of in proportion.
